A twelve-week working for women who are tired of being good

Unbecoming

You won't become someone new. You'll put down what was never yours to carry, and find out who was under there the whole time.

Two groups on Zoom · Tuesdays 4 to 5:30 pm or Wednesdays 10:30 am to 12 pm Pacific · starting January 12, 2027 · twelve women per group

Why this, why now

Women are handed a hundred ways to measure themselves.

Almost none of them were designed by women, for women, in a woman's actual life. So we people-please, perform and perfect. We file our needs under "later." We let an inner voice get meaner every year and call it motivation.

Unbecoming is a self-worth program built on 25 years of clinical practice and the research of Dr. Brené Brown. It is honest, solution-focused and, yes, fun. This program is about taking the measuring tape back.

Three acts, three kinds of time

How the spell is cast

Act I · Chronos

Naming

Clock time. We tell the truth about the time you have already served: your needs, your feelings, and the voice in your head.

Act II · Kairos

Claiming

The right moment. Values, boundaries, trust, and what to do when shame shows up to talk you out of all of it.

Act III · Aion

Becoming

The long time. Joy on purpose, comfort over numbing, and a manifesto written on your own terms.

The twelve weeks

Nine live sessions. Three weeks on your own.

Questions from the coven

Before you ask

Is this group therapy?

It's a facilitated group program led by a registered clinical counsellor. It is not a substitute for individual treatment, and if you're in crisis it isn't the right place to start. If you're not sure it fits, ask before you sign up. Once you're in, we'll have a short intake call before the group starts.

Do I have to share?

No. You share what you choose, when you choose. Plenty of women spend the first few weeks listening. That counts.

What if I miss a session?

Life happens. The workbook and weekday prompts keep you in the work, and the portal holds each week's materials.

Which group should I join?

The one you can actually show up for. Both groups follow the same twelve weeks with the same facilitators. You can join one group, not both.

Who is it for?

Women in any season of life who are tired of performing, pleasing and perfecting, and ready to find out what's underneath.

Not this round?

Get first word on the next one.

Groups fill fast and run a couple of times a year. Join the list and you'll hear about the next one before anyone else, plus the occasional note from me.

You're signing up for emails from Bryn Meadows about groups, workshops and the occasional note. Unsubscribe anytime.

There's usually nothing good about a Tuesday. Or a Wednesday morning.
Let's reclaim them.
