Recovery is not a return to
who you were.
It is becoming true to who you are.
Specialized counselling for women navigating addiction, disordered eating, and the particular complexity of midlife: Hormonal literacy. Shame resilience. The whole person.
An Exclusive Partnership with The Healing Institute at Taylor Bay
Dr. Tracy Rodgers MD, OB-GYN and Bryn Meadows MA, RPC-MPCC are partnering exclusively with
The Healing Institute at Taylor Bay to deliver THE INSIDE WORK:
Clinically grounded recovery retreats for women in mid-life, and continuing-education retreats for the healthcare professionals who treat them. Set on the Institute's coastal grounds at Taylor Bay, this is where we do The Inside Work: an evidence-based, integrative program addressing the intersection of perimenopause, mental health, and reclamation that has not, until now, existed in Canada.

The Daring Way™:
A 2 Day Wholehearted Intensive for Women
October 3-4, 2026- The Parkside Hotel, Victoria BC
A deep dive into connection, relational healing, and the courage to thrive.
Are you ready to stop hustling for your worthiness and start owning your story?
Join Bryn Meadows (MPCC, RPC) and Dr. Tracy Rodgers FRCSC, OB-GYN for an immersive, two-day intensive designed exclusively for women who are ready to let go of perfectionism, reclaim their power, and lean into wholehearted living.
Based on the groundbreaking research of Dr. Brené Brown, The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential workshop where we examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that hold us back. Together, we will look closely at The Gifts of Imperfection and explore the guideposts for wholehearted living, identifying what gets in our way and discovering how to truly thrive.
Daring Greatly is proprietary curriculum available exclusively through certified Daring Way™ Trained Facilitators- licensed mental health professionals who have met rigorous training and ethical standards to deliver this work. I completed my Daring Way certification in 2014 and have been bringing this content to clients ever since. You will not find this workbook or this guided experience on a shelf or in an online course.
What we explore together:
Over the course of the workshop, you'll move through deeply personal- and deeply powerful-content that includes:
- Clarifying the core values that light your way, even in the dark
- Understanding vulnerability: what it actually is, what it isn't, and why it's the doorway to everything you want more of
- Exploring the armor you've built to protect yourself - and what it's costing you
- Identifying your shame triggers and learning the four-step shame resilience process
- Practicing empathy and self-compassion as daily skills, not just concepts
- Writing your Personal Manifesto - a declaration of who you are and how you want to live
You'll leave with your own workbook, real tools you can use immediately, and a deeper understanding of what it means to dare greatly in your own life.
I help women find their way back to themselves
I'm Bryn Meadows — counsellor, Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator, and founder of Menopolooza and the Bloom Recovery Program. I specialize in supporting women navigating addiction, disordered eating, and the profound transitions of midlife — at the intersection of hormonal biology, shame resilience, and real life.
The intersection is where the real work begins
Bryn specializes in the places where multiple struggles converge.
Midlife & Perimenopause
The neurobiological, emotional, and identity shifts of perimenopause and menopause — and the compound weight of the lives women are carrying.
Addiction & Substance Use
Alcohol, prescription medication, and behavioural addiction — treated with hormonal literacy, shame resilience, and relapse prevention that accounts for the whole person.
Disordered Eating
Restriction, bingeing, compulsive exercise — especially where disordered eating intersects with midlife body changes, substance use, and complicated relationships with the body.
Shame & Self-Worth
Guilt, shame, perfectionism, people-pleasing — using The Daring Way™ curriculum to build genuine shame resilience from the inside out.
Family & Couples
For partners and families affected by a loved one's addiction — navigating boundaries, grief, codependency, and their own healing.
Identity & Transition
Empty nest, divorce, career change, loss of parents — the compound losses of midlife and the question of who you are becoming on the other side.
You don't have to keep white-knuckling it alone
A 15-minute consultation is always the place to start. No commitment, no pressure — just a conversation to see if this is the right fit.
